Dr. Ulrich Dauer is a founding member of 4SC and was appointed as CEO in 1999. He commenced his career at Tripos, a US publicly listed company and the leading provider of screening libraries, software and systems integration in the life sciences. At Tripos he was a Business Development Manager for Central and Eastern Europe where he was responsible for key pharmaceutical and biotech accounts and the acquisition of new business. Ulrich Dauer earned his Doctorate in chemistry at the Institute of Organic Chemistry, University of Würzburg, Germany.

 

Bernd Hentsch

Bernd Hentsch

Dr Bernd Hentsch joined 4SC in July 2008 as Chief Development Officer, from TopoTarget, a publicly listed Danish biotech company, where he held the same position. Prior to this he co-founded G2M Cancer Drugs AG in 2001, a company with one dedicated focus on the development of histone deacetylase (HDAC) inhibitors, which was acquired by TopoTarget in 2005. Prior to this he was Deputy Head of Preclinical Oncology at Merck KGaA.  Bernd Hentsch gained his phD in molecular immunology and oncology from the university of Würzburg, Germany.

 

Daniel Vitt

Daniel Vitt
Chief Scientific Officer

Dr. Daniel Vitt is a founding member of 4SC. He developed 4SC's virtual High Throughput Screening approach, 4SCan®, which forms the key component of the company's innovative research technology platform. Daniel Vitt completed his Doctorate at the Institute of Organic Chemistry, University of Würzburg, Germany, in 1998. His doctoral work focused on and contributed to the development of new active substances against tropical diseases.

 

 

Enno Spillner

Chief Financial Officer

Enno Spillner joined 4SC in September 2005 as Chief Financial Officer. He began his career at MediaPlus Spezialagentur für Media GmbH, Munich, supporting the Senior Management.  At the beginning of 1999, he became Head of Finance and Controlling at BioM AG, a German regional biotech venture fund. In this role he was responsible for managing investments in the equity portfolio and also held the position of interim Managing Director at two portfolio companies; ACTIPAC Biosystems GmbH and Munich Innovative Biomaterials GmbH.  In September 2001, he was appointed to Management Partner of the BioM VC Fund. Enno Spillner earned his Dipl.-Kaufmann (Masters in Business) at the University of Bamberg, Germany.
